HIDING HEAD! (HIDE ONES’S HEAD)
Any idea why this duck is tucking its head beneath the wings?
Is she/he ashamed of something?
I am not sure.
I can make some guesses.
It looks like it’s giving some rest to its neck muscles.
It is also possible that it’s avoiding outside bright light.
I also read about the conservation of body heat by this technique.
Maybe it’s so sure about the safety in its surroundings and thus can have the luxury of deep sleep?
It also said ducks don’t tuck their heads instead rest their head on their back. I don’t know what difference it makes!
What about Humans?
You are mischievous by putting this question.
How can you bring humans into the discussion, when I am talking about a duck hiding its head?
OK.
Humans are of a different breed!
Human hiding is unique!!
Everyone has something to hide.

Great shot of a resting duck, Philo! I’m not sure if humans are what they hide, and perhaps it is true for some–I’m an open book, I guess! Have a great couple of weeks!
