John.S of Journeys with Johnbo wants the participants to come up with images related to mechanical or industrial nature.
He says
“For this challenge, consider subjects reflecting industry or items that are mechanical in nature. Consider images of local agricultural or industrial buildings or a macro shot of the gears in a watch. Maybe it’s images of a nearby historical park where volunteers “recreate” life in an earlier time. How about the engine of a passing train, or a shot of a semi carrying a load of vehicles. What do you think of when you consider the terms Industrial or Mechanical?”
I was scratching my head because never I thought of clicking these types of images, rather It never struck me to look for these images.
I shall keep this in my mind in future clicks.
Thank you, John.
Of course, My examples pale compared to the images posted by other participants.
SUGARCANE JUICE MACHINE
These types of machines we come across on the streets are more popular these hot summer days.

Sometimes quotes are as sweet as sugar cane when we read…but to follow them in stricter terms…I doubt
TOOLS

The above quote reminded me of my earlier days in photography. I suffered ‘Gear acquisition syndrome’ and wasted a lot of hard-earned money left, right and centre, without knowing first the basics of photography. A costly lesson learnt!
?TIME MACHINE
I clicked this showpiece in one of the 5 stars 🌟 hotels.
If you observe closely, It had a lot of serrated and non-serrated wheels and in the lower half of the image, the non-serrated black wheels were flashing both English Numbers and Roman numbers.
These numbers were flashing in different colours every 3 to 4 seconds.
I was unsure what message this time machine conveying!
Right from childhood, I used to wonder about the concept of a Time Machine.
Can time machines exist?
“Darling,
If I had a time machine, I’d gift it to you.
Would you travel in the future or settle in the past?
Would you embrace your childhood or welcome your last?
Would you think about others or just the seeds you have sown?
Would you take me along and just leave me alone?”

This post is part of John S’s LAPC #199 MECHANICAL/INDUSTRIAL photo challenge
You found some great examples, Philo. That collection of hand tools represents the hand labor that is still required in many industrial settings. I’d love to see that “time machine” in action.
Thanks for joining in this week.

Great representations. My fave as a photograph is the sugar cane machine, with the faded reds and greens against the blue background. Excellent.
