Jim’s Thursday Inspiration #155 prompt is PAIN
Jim wants the participants to respond to this challenge, either by using the prompt word pain or going with the above picture or using the song ‘November Rain’ or anything else that they think fits.
Oh! Man! I love this song by Guns N’ Roses!
I approach this topic a bit differently.
Beauty is Pain
Why?
“If you dear little girls would only learn what real beauty is, and not pinch and starve and bleach yourselves out so, you’d save an immense deal of time and money and pain. A happy soul in a healthy body makes the best sort of beauty for man or woman” Louisa May Alcott
What is the funny thing in our life?
Everybody says ‘love’ is beautiful.
Really?
“Beauty is ever to the lonely mind a shadow fleeting; she is never plain. She is a visitor who leaves behind the gift of grief, the souvenir of pain” Christopher Morley
Why should you feel the pain when somebody tells you that you are not good enough?
This especially happens to teenagers since they are highly sensitive to any comment/criticism about their bodies.
My friend, you are beautiful and capable!
You don’t need a certificate from others!
Just don’t subject yourself to self torture!
The song ‘Beauty is pain’ by Alessia Cara is directed at women, but I think men can also relate to it as well’

Is there something wrong if one feels pain?
I am writing this article because you always think that, you are not supposed to feel the pain by adjusting to the whims and fancies of others.
“People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that’s bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they’re afraid to feel it? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they’re wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It’s all in how you carry it. That’s what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.”

I second your thoughts on the topic. The song share is awesome. It stays among the females throughout their lives, which I have felt. Very much they to accept that they are beautiful just the way they are.
Thank you for sharing these wonderful, interesting quotes.
