From “The Ethics of our Fathers”: Who is happy? One who is content with what he has.

Thank you Dolly.
Deep thought provoking!
Now there are two quotes.
1. “Not what we have, but what we enjoy constitutes our abundance” Epicurus
2. From “The Ethics of our Fathers”: Who is happy? One who is content with what he has.
Which option is better to follow?
Knowledge bank of yours can take me to wisdom Heaven.

I do not see much difference, other than the entire Epicurean philosophy which is based on physical pleasures. If you replace ‘enjoy’ with ‘content,’ it will have the same meaning.
My knowledge bank is quite limited, compared to my husband’s, believe me.

Thank you Dolly for the explanation.
Now I understand better.
You are fortunate to get a knowledgeable husband.
Meeting and talking to both of you one day is going to be my first wish.
I am sure Almighty is listening to me.
