Thursday Trios

Decoration

“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Design is knowing which ones to keep” Scott Adams

The above image is a decorative piece.

If you notice, there are three rounded structures with multiple small pieces of a thin plastic sheet of different shapes.

What is this art piece conveying to you?

I struggled a lot to make out without any success.

It’s OK…I’m not an artist.

Thank you for your visit.

Take care, my friend.

My first impression was 3 worlds colliding into each other.

It is an interesting piece, well composed and balanced. Perhaps a person bending his head. I would visualize it as a large-scale street sculpture or an installation in a gallery. As a small size decorative piece at home – I don’t know. It must be a fairly large house to get the full impact of it.

I don’t think art has to always convey something. I just like the composition and form of the piece but I do like the idea of three worlds colliding as suggested by Art. Thanks for your contribution to Thursday Trios. I can always count on you to post something interesting.

Hihih! I find your question amusing for some reason. To me liking an art piece depends vastly on: colours, size, materials, positioning, what I saw just before that, what I saw next. Your photo is enough that I like the piece in theory but to confirm it, I’d need to see it for myself.

Thank you my friend for your detailed explanation, making me understand better.
      Agree.
One has to see the art in person, it’s location in the hall, how big the hall is and the shape of the art and the materials used.
So much in interpreting and understanding an art.
For people like me who are not artists… it’s a herculean task.
      Thanks again
