Hungry Mouths

How do you feel if you come across people suffering from hunger and related malnutrition disorders?

If you notice in the image below, all the fishes are anxiously waiting for the food to be thrown at them.

Sadly whether the fish gets its food or not it keeps its mouth open (lonely mouth) since it doesn’t want to miss the great opportunity of food falling straight into its mouth!

“To a hungry person, every bitter food is sweet. When the preferable is not available, the available becomes preferable!” Israelmore Ayivor

Don’t you agree with Israelmore Ayivor quote?

We are experts in giving excuses /reasons!

Don’t you agree with the fact that the majority of us eat/continue to eat / hog, even when there is no need?

And it is said that these days we are eating without any justification because of the corona pandemic.

People are giving pandemic excuses and telling us that it’s nothing but stress eating!

How true is this?

Can you explain?

“1 billion people in the world are chronically hungry. 1 billion people are overweight” Mark Bittman

Thank you for your visit.

Take care, my friend.

  1. the great divide. it is very sad. i grew up with very little money. but my dad and mom worked their asses off to keep us fed. some people are not as lucky to have two hard working parents or for other reasons. I had a friend who had to eat dog food to stay alive. way back in the day. so these words do ring truth. one day i hope people will see the light that every person deserves not to be hungry.

  2. Stress overeating is a very real disorder, dear Philo. One of the tenets of psychology is “Food is comfort.” However, you are very right; stress is claimed by many as an excuse to indulge in gluttony. The photo is awesome.

    1. Thank you Dolly.
      Thank you for mentioning gluttony.
Sometimes people are helpless because of the food being prepared with love resulting in superb taste. I understand this.
But making this a habit and giving an excuse??
And then…there is also one thing called ‘limit to everything’
      Hopefully one realizes this truth.
