I used to think I am more intelligent than my parents.
Then my children started telling me that I am out of sync with the modern world.
My grandchildren make fun of not just me but their parents too!
But strangely I think that I am much much smarter than my parents, my children or grandchildren.
Why this is happening?
I have no answer.
Do you have any?

I have grown smart enough over the years to realize I was not as smart as I thought I was when I was younger.

I’m not sure if it’s “wiser” or “smarter”, it’s just kind of different. Like my great grandfather said that the world will not be a peace until we are all coffee coloured, my GREAT grandfather. So born in the 1920’s. Yet my mum doesn’t understand pro-nouns, even though she was one of his “favourites”. Yet, other things, she totally gets. There must be a word for it.
