Thursday Thoughts

Generation gap

I used to think I am more intelligent than my parents.

Then my children started telling me that I am out of sync with the modern world.

My grandchildren make fun of not just me but their parents too!

But strangely I think that I am much much smarter than my parents, my children or grandchildren.

Why this is happening?

I have no answer.

Do you have any?

Please share your thoughts

  1. I’m not sure if it’s “wiser” or “smarter”, it’s just kind of different. Like my great grandfather said that the world will not be a peace until we are all coffee coloured, my GREAT grandfather. So born in the 1920’s. Yet my mum doesn’t understand pro-nouns, even though she was one of his “favourites”. Yet, other things, she totally gets. There must be a word for it.
