Don’t you agree?
“Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city.”
George Burns
Why he is talking like this?
Looks like real happiness multiplies if we miss our loved ones.
So he is correct.
What are your thoughts?

I think in typical George Burns style, he feels that having a family who lives far away is better than them all living with you. 😜

Thank you Sadje.
Looks like his experience made him feel so.
My guess is unless the whole family understands each other and bond well, the relationship is sure to go sour.
In that situation staying away from each other may bring back the love and togetherness.

Agree my friend.
During younger days we all enjoy our childhood and early adulthood together in the family.
As we get married …..
it appears the whole scenario changes.
The priorities changes
The bond between the family members that was there…changes after the marriage.
Do you agree?

Some families are not close and tight-knit. I wish I were further away from mine.

I fully agree your thoughts on certain families.
Is not a family supposed to be a close knit one?
Otherwise why to have children at all?
Thought provoking!
Thank you Jen
