Candid Photography

Leave us alone!!

“You all want to know what my dream is? Very simple. To walk along the beach, holding the hand of my lover” Michelle Bachelet

Can you guess what the other lady is trying to focus on?

Creativity Knows no bounds

The lady on the left side is not sure whether to click are not since you see the camera halfway in her right hand before reaching her eyes.

The lady on the right side was not only engrossed in taking the shot but wanted to be more creative and you can make out his from her odd body position.

What is candid photography?

A candid photograph is the one without a posed appearance the subject is not aware of the photo being taken.

Many street photographers swear by candid photography since they feel that it brings the real essence of the true expression in that particular situation.

They say that if the subject is aware, then the charm is lost.

And you know what?

When the camera was incorporated into our mobile phones as an invention, candid photography has become even more popular because the camera is too small, unobtrusive and others may not realize that you are clicking them!

Believe it or not!!

Whether you like it or not, you can’t escape this technology onslaught!!

Believe me, if I say that you are already photographed in the mobile/cameras of unknown persons.

This is very common in tourist spots.

Surprised??

Now read this.

You are constantly monitored as you walk in the streets!

Question to you

These questions I am putting to you because of the topic.

  1. Do you like being photographed without your knowledge?
  2. Don’t you appreciate that candid photography brings out your best natural expression?
  3. Do you agree that somewhere somebody has your photo on their mobile without you being aware of it?

The trouble with Candid Photography is that technology has changed it into what it into a fun fest. I don’t mind having my picture taken if I am being silly it’s great publicity I mind when the picture is changed by Photoshop into what it isn’t and then posted on the web for the world to gawk at. I entertain children and do silly things for laughs but there was a case where my likeness was used in an inappropriate way I had to threaten the social platform to have it taken down

      Couldn’t agree more.

      True.

Many photographic apps can change whichever way anybody wants to change the original stuff.

What a waste of time (as far as social media is concerned) in begging somebody to delete inappropriate content and paying hard earned money to the legal profession, in case the picture was not deleted immediately.

But enough harm is done in the very first place.

Probably we are helpless and accept this as a ‘NORM’ if one happens to be in far far far away land and unable to bear the cost involved.

Now it’s time to laugh and fly because we can’t afford to get mad because of these silly creatures.

Finally they can’t make us mad because we can never be mad because we always laugh out!!
