Diwali
Diwali, the festival of lights celebrated in India, falls on Thursday 4, November this year.
Diwali is a Sanskrit word meaning row of lights.
It’s one of the major festivals celebrated by the Hindus.
Diwali symbolises
- The spiritual victory of light over darkness
- Good over evil and
- Knowledge over ignorance
All these things can lead to a peaceful world.
How light can lead to peace in this world?
“If there is light in the soul, there will be beauty in the person.
If there is beauty in the person, there will be harmony in the house.
If there is harmony in the house, there will be order in the nation.
If there is an order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.”
