The above image is that of the Stonehenge Monument, which most of you may know.
Like many other world-famous monuments this one too ‘Shot to Death’ by people of many hues, leaving no camera angle available anymore!!
Location
Wiltshire, England.
Age
This monument is said to be 5000 years old.
It’s a great enigma and nobody knows how it was built (A megalithic Circle) by transporting these massive stones.
Weight
Each stone is said to weigh 25 tonnes (55,150 lbs).
Number of stones
Said to contain approximately 100 massive upright stones placed in a circular layout.
Purpose
The purpose of Stonehenge (Stone Circle) remains shrouded in mystery.
Some say it was used as a burial ground and many said the stone arrangement is used as a solar calendar (observatory) since the monument entrance faces the rising Sun. (Summer Solstice)

Visited this in august. They wanted to charge £25 per person ! Instead we drove a few miles to a place called woodhenge and walked across the fields and saw them for free.

I can understand.
For Indians this amount is equal to ₹2600.00, a huge burden.
They always say….the amount is bare minimum used for maintaining the monument.
You are clever indeed

True.
Difficult to explain how they not only moved the stones but also arranged them in a circle.
Who gave them the idea?
How they could lift such heavy stones?
