The waiting period for Halloween day is roughly 15 days from this day
It’s the day before All Saints Day.
Everybody is excited.
Sometimes young kids feel it’s a scary holiday.
Overall I love the variety of the costumes and scary themes.
Do Indians celebrate Halloween day?
Not much to my knowledge.
Maybe the reason goes with the culture and traditional way the Indians especially Hindus perform rituals known as ‘Shraddha’ and on this day homage is offered to their deceased ancestors.
India is a secular country.
I am proud to say that every major faith is practised in our country.
It’s up to the personal choice and anybody can celebrate any festival of their choice.
In India, it’s not a public holiday but this time the day falls on Sunday- a weekly holiday.
Just like valentines day, Halloween day is gaining special attention in India
Younger population living in metro cities showing much enthusiasm in celebrating this day.
People started liking spooky costumes.
Pubs and hotels offer scary themes and youth are having lots of fun.
Restaurants started making Halloween themed dishes.
The commercialisation of this festival is catching up.
But Corona Pandemic seems to limit the activity just like last year.
Wishing you a fun filled Halloween day!
