Do you love the smell of ‘wet earth’ after rain?
The smell is known by the name- PETRICHOR
It’s the earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil.
Many people love this smell.
The scent is produced by the bacteria when the rain hits the dry ground.
The bacteria residing on the dry soil produce the molecule called ‘Geosmin’ that is released in the air as the rain touches the soil.
Did you ever curse the weather?
“Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.” John Ruskin
Have you ever tried to take a photograph of rain in close quarters when it’s raining moderately?
Yes, my friend, you just try, it’s worth it.
You love it.
But be careful about your camera and the lens from getting wet.
If you have a good background as in the image below, the trees made the background, the picture becomes colourful and interesting.

Thank you Ashley.
Pet rich or smell is unique.
We all experience it but ignore it.
I love that feeling when I sense that smell.
As a child I used to love the smell of petrol as the car tank was getting filled.
I don’t know why….
