Whether it’s the things or the persons (we are with) that we routinely see or come across, we never care.
We take things for granted.
We give the least attention.
I don’t know the reason why we behave like this.
But we behave differently when we notice similar beauty in a different place.
“We don’t give a damn to the insects on our Earth, but if we could find even a single insect on Mars, the whole world would cherish it like crazy!”
Strange are the ways of human behaviour!
“Life is full of blessings we take for granted. Yet so often we dwell on what we don’t have. Appreciate what you already have and be grateful.”

Human beings are not very good at handling excess, I think we flourish best in the fine line between need and have. Too much and we become wasteful, thoughtless and inefficient. Too little and we become desperate, anxious and self-centered.
This is why long deadlines usually don’t motivate us until too late, and short deadlines cause us to give up or stress out.
I think this is why we take the small things for granted, because we often have too many of the small good things we are “wasteful”…sorry, rant over! 🤦♂️

A perfect well balanced analysis Paul.
We have too many things in the form of choices, so we take things for granted and struggle to get or achieve what we lack.
As you rightly put it, there should be a fine balance between necessity and possession.
Enjoyed the rant😀😀😀.
