Beach Parasol

“When others try to rain on your dreams, carry an umbrella and dream on!!” Princess Sassy pant & Co

Parasol & Umbrella- Are they similar or different?

My friend they are different.

A parasol is constructed from delicate fabrics such as lace, cotton, silk, linen, canvas and plastic.  A straight shaft completes the formation of a parasol. Parasols commonly seen at beaches.

Whereas Umbrellas are made up of waterproof material.

Unlike an umbrella, the parasol is used for protection from the Sun.

Where I live, some Chinese immigrant ladies carry umbrellas in the summer to function as parasols and prevent tanning.

      Thank you Ashley.
      Yes.
In India we too use Umbrella ☂️ during summer when temparature reaches 45°c.
Not to prevent tanning ( already we are brown/black) but get reprieve from unbearable heat.
