Bee Engaged – Build Back Better for Bees

Happy World Bee Day!

World Bee day is celebrated on May 20.

UN has designated this day to celebrate the pollinators around the world.

My dear friend, Bees are responsible for growing much of your health and most of your favourite food.

Sadly many bee species are under threat due to pesticides, land cultivation, aggressive agricultural modalities and finally climate change.

Who is listening?

How they do it?

They move pollen from one plant to another plant, thus pollinating hundreds and thousands of fruits and vegetables.

The varieties of fruits and vegetables that exist today is because of the Bees.

If you are as ignorant as I am, please check this link below so that we can be aware of the importance of Bees in sustaining the human race by providing food and why we should not destroy the bee population.

The food items which depend upon the Bees

Are you aware of the latest Coronavirus Rapid testing method?

I know….what you are thinking! You must be wondering about this unrelated question!

What is the topic to do with the Coronal pandemic?

Yes, my friend.

The scientists have tapped an unlikely resource. It’s nothing but the finely tuned olfactory sense of the bees. This method is said to be helpful to those less resourceful, low-income countries.

After going through all this, do you still think of destroying the bee population?

Please do celebrate these busy buzzing friends.

Our best friends….may Bee? ( Just joking )

No way my friend. They are not just our best friends, but they are our saviours

But sadly we are greedy and we enjoy destroying ourselves!

We are not bothered about our future generations.

“The way humanity manages or mismanages its
nature-based assets, including pollinators, will in
part define our collective future in the 21st century
……The fact is that of the 100 crop species
that provide 90 per cent of the world’s food, over 70 are pollinated by bees.” Achim Steiner

So next time you see a bee…please don’t swat!

God bless you

Thank you.

Namaste 🙏🙏🙏

I am trying to make my backyard more be friendly, but we do have a lot of birds living in a huge tree next door. So I worry as well, that the birds will eat them, lol
