What is your age?

Of course, it’s a good old and ancient question but still one never tired of asking either directly or during gossip times.

Some say there is nothing wrong in asking this question because, what or where is the need to hide the age?

Some feel quite opposite and say asking someone’s age is disrespectable.

What are your thoughts my friend?

Why people are obsessed to know the age of other people?

It is said that both men & women are nosy about a women’s age.

I feel it’s rude to ask someone of their age.

It’s none of our business to ask the age unless the person putting the question is a doctor or in pubs where underage persons are not allowed.

Also, I feel it is something to do with sexism since a woman’s value is linked to her youthfulness.

“Age is just a number. It’s totally irrelevant unless of course, you happen to be a bottle of wine” Joan Collins

Growing old a countdown or count up?

Any idea about the Korean age?

Korean age is different from the age used in most countries.

Koreans add the duration in the womb while counting the age, such that everyone is already one year old, when they are born.

Do you know that Koreans, state their age during introductions?

From the internet, I learnt that Koreans ask for age or tell the age since they wish to know whether they are younger or older to the person so that relationship etiquette is maintained.

In Korea, younger people are supposed to be respectful and obedient to people senior in age.

I have some questions for you

  1. ” What is your age?”…..is this a dreaded question?
  2. Is age really that important, once you cross 30?
  3. Why many of you lie about your age?
  4. Are you insecure if somebody asks your age?
  5. Is it true that people are sensitive to being old?
  6. Which is more important- physical age or mental age?
  7. At what age you say enough is enough and stop using cosmetics, makeup materials and hair dye?

“Age is irrelevant. Ask me how many sunsets I have seen, hearts I’ve loved, trips I’ve taken or concerts I’ve been to, that is how old I am” Joelle

Human psychology is funny and often enjoyable

It’s paradoxical that the idea of living a long life appeals to everyone, but the idea of getting old doesn’t appeal to anyone. Andy Rooney

I’m 42, and I have to do the math in my head to figure that out because I don’t care enough to remember exactly how old I am.

I am 38, and I love bragging about how old I am. Why should we be ashamed of it? Wrinkles and grey hair show that I have been around for a while and seen things. Experience is sometimes a good thing honestly. I don’t want to be younger, because it doesn’t mean happier. Remember back in the day how you desperately wanted to be older? And it was perfect back then just as perfect as it is right now. You are the youngest that you are ever gonna be. Think about it, enjoy it, cease the day

I couldn’t have said it better myself.

      You are very frank.
      Calling a spade a spade.

In these days of commercialisation of makeup products and the mad rush for everyone to look younger, your observation is an eye opener.

      Thank you Milena Alien.

I could not visit your blog….. pop-up says the author has deleted the blog.

Here i think when people have spouse and children already they dont mind with the question. But when they are still single and reach the age to get married already, the question could bother them.
