Touch

Can a horse be considered a pet?

I don’t know.

Some said it can anything…from a pet (animal lovers) to the main dish (controversial topic in the USA)

My guess is Horse is livestock and a farm animal.

Barbed Wire Fencing

What is your sensation when you touch a spider web?

I feel sticky.

Your sensation when you touch the barbed wire?

I get a frightening sensation.

“A woman’s dress should be like a barbed-wire fence: serving its purpose without obstructing the view”. Sophia Loren

What is that Sophia Loren trying to explain?

So many questions!

Thank you.

My guess is Sophia Loren is joking and the meaning is ‘You can see but you may not touch.”
I’ve known several people who own horses, come to visit them and feed them, but never ride. I suppose for these people horses are pets.
Finally, your parallel of a spider web with barbed wire is a bit inexact: you are describing a physical sensation when touching a spider web, but an emotional reaction when touching barbed wire. Had you not known what barbed wire is used for, what would be your physical sensation?

    Yes.
Sophia Loren meant ‘touch me not’

So horses can be considered as pets too!

Regarding spider web and barbed wire ..touch sensation…I couldn’t agree more regarding physical and emotional feeling.

As far as the barbed wire ref… I wished to stress more about emotional pain rather than physical pain, because emotional pain impacts our life more than physical pain.

I am aware of the situations where barbed wire is used and how things happened in the past.

Thank you Dolly, a discussion with you always adds to my knowledge pool.
