Was Mark Twain correct?
I am not joking.
My friend, whether you inhale or exhale, either way, smoking is dangerous.
“Smoking helps you lose weight? one lung at a time”! Alfred E Neuman
The Covid pandemic has led to millions of tobacco users wanting to quit smoking. (Covid symptoms start mainly with the involvement of the lungs and in smokers, the lungs are highly vulnerable to Covid).
Are you aware that World No tobacco day is celebrated on May 31?
Do You know what makes people stop smoking?
“Thousands of people stop smoking a day by dying from it” Unknown
Now you ask, Why I have put this photo of a person smoking a Cigar?
Yes, you are 100% justified.
I can’t stop people from smoking sadly, but with the individual’s permission, I can take a snap of him or her smoking, after all the photographer in me itching to prove mastery in photography!
I have put it, just to demonstrate a technique in photography known as Backlighting Photography.
What is Backlit Photography?
Backlighting photography is an interesting aspect of Lighting in photography. One may get confused with Silhouette Photography.
There is a difference between Backlighting photography and Silhouette photography.
In Silhouette shooting, the shot is framed such that light is directly behind the subject and the subject is dark with a dark outline shape against the background light.
In Back Light shooting, the subject is between the camera and the light source. Here the backlight not necessarily is behind the subject. The light source can be behind, in the centre or off the side of the subject.
In Black Lighting, some light and detail are visible on the subject while in Silhouette photography, the subject is solid black with a black outline.
In the photo above the subject is the cigar & the smoke and here the light is coming from the side of the person smoking the cigar.
What is so great about Photography?
Every field is based on certain rules and principles.
One great thing about photography is that there are no rules and anybody is free to interpret whatever way to they like to interpret or take the photographs whichever way they like. No questions asked!!
No need for approval!!
Is this not interesting & exciting?
Don’t you feel great about this??

Well said.
We can only give opinions and always love and enjoy by providing unasked advices.
Our mentality is built on a solid foundation of ‘ I can never go wrong’, a philosophy ingrained in all.
So everybody busy judging others rightfully and passing comments rightfully and advising freely!
This is our world. Not judging is also an unannounced judgement😃😃
Laugh continuosly till people stop calling us mad😂😂
