It’s the little things in life

“Whoever loves and understands a garden will find contentment within”   Chinese proverb

There are so many little things in this world that can bring you joy.

Don’t say…oh! no more such dialogues!

I know my friend you are sick of the regular advice you get ‘Enjoy the little things’.

And it’s high time that we know the difference between Joy & Happiness and most of the times we are confused about the actual meaning of each.

Joy vs Happiness

✔Joy is not tied to external circumstances whereas happiness is tied to your external circumstances.

✔Joy is an inward expression of peace and contentment while happiness is an outwards expression of elation.

✔Joy is based on what is happening within us, whereas happiness is based on what is happening around us.

✔Joy is long-lasting and happiness is having a time frame.

✔Joy is the soul & happiness is for the time being( for that moment)

✔Joy warms the heart of the person, while happiness just pleases the person and people around.

Which you prefer? Joy or happiness or both?

My guess is achieving joy goes beyond the stage of being happy.

Anyways to enjoy the little things in one’s life?

There are so many ways my friend.

Sadly we take many of those little things for granted and ignore them mostly.

“It has long been an axiom of mine that the little things are infinitely the most important.”
Arthur Conan Doyle

Right from interacting with Mother Nature to giving a smile to a stranger to a kind gesture to those in need and so on…

The Internet gives you so many suggestions.

Please share your thoughts

Thank you.
