“I laugh at the way some people think graffiti is all selfish tagging and vandalism. Thoughtful street art is like good fiction – it speaks out on behalf of everyone, for us all to see.” Carla H. Krueger
Do you love murals?
We are never tired of the argument regarding murals.
Some say it is pure form of art and the artist puts his/her soul to express what an artist wishes to express.
Others say it’s is nothing but vandalism.
Some said these arts convey nothing and more of a nuisance and diverts the attention of drivers, on the roads and can cause even traffic accidents.
Some said defacing the walls is a crime.
Others said the city is becoming ugly.
Do you agree?
“Some people become cops because they want to make the world a better place. Some people become vandals because they want to make the world a better-looking place.”
Banksy
Food for thought
“I don’t understand why when we destroy something created by man we call it vandalism, but when we destroy something by nature we call it progress.” Ed Begley Jr.
What are your thoughts on Art vs vandalism my dear friend??
Thank you.

I think art creates and vandalism defaces or destroys. When it comes to private property, if the artist shares their vision with the property owner beforehand, that could end up being a win-win all around.

A loaded question to be sure. What’s so great about a gray building that it should be persevered? On the other hand whats so great about random lines and obscene words signed by 30 gang members? I guess it’s a question of what can be gained in beauty or meaning. by the work and this is always subjective.
