This time Dr B, creator of Buddha walks into a wine bar is asking us to come out with some sport-related photos.
I started scratching my head because I am not into any sports activities because of my profession. The only occasions I played any game was during my school days, a little bit of Cricket & Hockey, the most popular Indian Sports.
And these days no big sports activities happening because of Covid restrictions.
I searched my archive and could pull out one or two pictures of kids playing.
“All the kids need a little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them” Magic Johnson
Cycle / car tyre rolling
This is a popular game among children, unique to India and you don’t come across it anywhere in the world. All one has to do is to push the tyre with the stick and roll it on the playground or pavement and run along with the tyre, continuously pushing the tyre forwards.
You can see the kids being excited so much with joy and competitions are also held.
Playground slide / Sliding Board
Just notice the two kids.
Instead of sliding what they are doing?
One kid exploring the sky from a different angle, the other child just sitting on the slide slope thinking of something else.
Kids have their own way of enjoying and exploring.

The playground slide is loved by adults and children. Age does not matter.
This post is part of Dr B’s Challenge your Camera # 8 Sport
Thank you Dr.B. for the inspiration
Great! Such memories from your post, I used to play as a child with the inner metal part of bicycle wheels, rolling them along with a stick. We used to call them “boolies” but I have no idea why. Thanks again for joining in 🙏🙏🙏

Glad you cherished those childhood memories.
I was under the impression that this ‘roll’ is played only in India.
‘ Boolies’ name catchy.

I agree.
It is even said when one is depressed…..just go to the playground and watch children playing together and enjoy the sounds kids make with laughter .It can bring back the fountain of youth in older people or for that matter for anybody.

Tyre rolling is certainly such a desi thing and becoming antique as well since I don’t see many kids playing this anymore now.
