Monday Motivation

“Did you know that using social media can actually help you to increase your level of thinking?” Germany Kent

Do you agree with the above quote?

Does social media help us to think better?

It’s said that people, especially millennials are benefited by regularly using social media and it further enhances bonding and mental wellbeing including happiness.

But the general impression given is that social media has toxic effects on the users and one  loses individuality.

It is also said that social media makes one an addict!

I feel that whether one is addicted to social media or not, better one starts thinking outside the box or else herd mentality rules the world.

“Think outside of the box, create your own path in life. “You laugh at me because I am different; I laugh because you are all the same.”  Daniel Knode

Can we think outside the box?

“Common things are common and Uncommon things are uncommon. Let it be a footprint that you are uncommon to be common in common things.”
Ernest Agyemang Yeboah

What exactly we do in social media?

My dear friend, you will be surprised if I say, that we may be revealing much more than we realize, with every post, comments, likes, shares and reblogs!

Even if one tries to act smart and be careful, somewhere with time, self-revelation happens. One can’t escape this uncomfortable truth if one wants to be on social media.

Take home message

“Everyone is living for everyone else now. They’re doing stuff so they can tell other people about it. I don’t get all that social media stuff. I’ve always got other things I want to do – odd jobs around the house. No one wants to hear about that.”  Karl Pilkington

Thank you.

Namaste 🙏🙏🙏

  1. Heh, I’d actually argue Social Media helps people NOT think. So much on Facebook and Twitter is just mindlessly parroted and never questioned. OH, my favorite celebrity said COVID is caused by 5G cell phones so it MUST be true. *headdesk* (One of many easy examples).

Information given away… There’s a reason Facebook is filthy rich despite being free. YOU are what they sell, to advertisers, telemarketers, etc… and it’s amazing how complete a profile can be built on most social media users.
