Give up this, please!

“Life is important. There is nothing to hold onto. A man that drinks is throwing his life away. Don’t do it, hold on to your life. There is nothing else to hold on to …”  Tennessee Williams

Drink moderately they say

Who decides, what the moderation is?

Alcohol is dangerous they say.

But why is it, still popular?

“After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, and that is the most horrible thing in the world.” Oscar Wilde

What exactly addiction does?

“Addiction begins with the hope that something “out there” can instantly fill up the emptiness inside”  Jean Kilbourne

Do you know the ‘funny’ part of our life?

“Millions of deaths would not have happened if it weren’t for the consumption of alcohol. The same can be said about millions of births.”
Mokokoma Mokhonoan

Take home message

“Earth is a necessity, not Mars. Food and water are necessities, not alcohol and cigarettes.”
Abhijit Naskar

  1. I second that. Countries that have wine cultures, such as France and Italy, have the lowest percentage of alcoholism in the world. I cook with wine and bake with rum. Alcohol cooks out and enhances the taste of food.
Of course, some people have addictive personalities; take alcohol from them, and they will find something else to get addicted to.
