Let us open it up

“Who will not be happy, when receiving an unexpected gift from the loved ones”   Sonika Suresh

We all love gifts.

Luckily we have plenty of Gifting seasons.

And this emotion of ours becomes uncontrollable if we get surprise gifts.

Right from childhood, the first reaction is, great excitement and you don’t feel like wasting your time, just love to open up the gift at the earliest.

Your curiosity reaches its peak if you don’t open it up immediately!

Why gift makes us happy or unhappy?

If you receive a gift, you feel you are special and you are loved. Joy fills your heart.

I feel giving gifts makes one happy if given unconditionally.

While the person at the receiving end is happy, most of the time holiday season gift-giving makes us stressed out.

It all depends on the situation and the relationships.

It’s better to be both giver and receiver.

But present-day gifts are chosen and given with some motive behind them.

It’ easy to open up the the gifts. But in real life…opening up to someone?

In real life, how easy for you to open up to somebody?

“Sometimes you just can’t open up to someone… Not because you don’t trust them, but because once you tell someone how you feel inside, you give them permission to hurt you”  Unknown

Thank you.

Namaste 🙏🙏🙏

Thought provoking, Doc, thank you. Personally, I often find it discouraging to share my deepest thoughts. I love my friends & family, but they are not usually good, patient listeners. Maybe that applies to most people now, due to media, electronics & societal expectations. What do you think? 🌞

      Thank you Lisa M
Sharing personal feelings to a trusted person relieves our mental burden,if only the person continues to be trusted and willing to listen.
Very rare to get trusted friends.
Having trusted family member is impossible because we all live in ‘ego land’ and as far as family members are concerned….things are always taken for granted.

Thats true. Gift may be small one but the emotions matter.

Very true. To give oneself to another person as a gift is risky, and we hesitate to do it until that person has earned our trust.

Normally the couples are supposed to trust each other.
Friends are supposed to trust each other.
But sadly the trust is misused!
I am not generalising but this is what usually happens.
      Thank you Dolly

I agree with you, dear friend; this is what usually happens, unfortunately. People go into relationships, including friendships, with open heart, which means that trust is granted unconditionally. Once it is abused, it can never be fully re-established.
