“A perfectionist pardons everyone’s mistakes but his own” unknown

Perfectly imperfect

We all love to be perfect.

We expect others too to be perfect.

But in this world, you can’t be perfect all the time and you can’t expect to find perfect people in any part of the world.

But still, you feel something incomplete, if you don’t be perfect and you strive to be perfect all the time only to face disappointments.

Cooldown my friend.

Life is not that simple and you can’t expect perfectionism from every corner.

What is perfectionism?

Interesting question.

Read the answer.

“Perfectionism is the self-abuse of the highest order”Β  Anne Wilson Schaef

Is the attitude of perfectionism harmful?

Yes, my friend.

“Perfectionism is a dangerous state of mind, in an imperfect world”Β  Robert Hillyer

Is there any such thing called perfectionism at all?

No, my friend.

Sadly it is not possible from a human’s point of view.

Perfectionism is not attainable but we can only aim for excellence!

Can perfectionism be described in a single sentence?

“There is no perfection, only beautiful versions of brokenness” Shannon L Alder

Are you aware of the Egyptian Proverb?

‘A beautiful thing is never perfect’

Take home message

“Perfectionism doesn’t make you feel perfect; It makes you feel inadequate”Β  Maria Shriver

My thoughts

We should strive to improve our performances rather than struggle to achieve perfectionism.

“I don’t have to be perfect. All I have to do is show up and enjoy the messy, imperfect, and beautiful journey of my life.” Kerry Washington

Thank you.
