May be English speaking Spaniard can help me to understand the proverb.

Who is great?

ONION- You know I am powerful💪
I make people cry, when they kill me

TOMATO- YOU KNOW I’m a weapon 🗡️
I used to attack people, if they give out useless speech.

Both went into my stomach after having my sandwich.
In the end I’m the great!
