Unexpected Visitor

What is your reaction when an unexpected guest visits you?

Just think.

Elementary my dear Watson!

Either you are excited or you become dull. Is it not so ??

Of course, I am not talking about the guests/strangers/relatives/friends…visiting you!

Then what?

My dear friend, have patience.

Read on…..

I can think of 5 things that happen or happening or happened in your life.

And all of them come to you uninvited!

Love is the most unexpected visitor in the form of Amnesia. It lets you forget about more than 6 billion other people in this world” Unknown

How was your first feeling of you falling in love?

And may I have the pleasure of listening from your mouth?

2.Again Love…..

Love never tells you as it is leaving and you struggle to understand!!

“Love is an uninvited visitor. It never tells when it’s coming and when it’s leaving” Hammodie Ali

3.Old age

” Old Age is the most unexpected of all things that happened to a person”. Leon Trotsky

I understand that majority of the old people refuse to believe that they have reached old age.

Surprisingly others have to remind them!!

I’m glad. It’s good for their health!

Don’t you agree my old pals?

Of course, each one of us is aware that ‘death’ comes as an unexpected visitor. But fortunately, we are not alive to express our reaction!

Isn’t it a good feeling that we can’t react to our own death?

And the death of a loved one at an unexpected time gives you a Shock followed by depression, followed by adjustment, and then acceptance and your life goes on…

5.Expect the unexpected

This is what everybody says. Do you agree?

“If someone says to expect the unexpected, slap them in the face and say “I bet you did not expect that” unknown

Just watch the reaction!!

Take home message

“Being human is a guest house.

A joy, a depression, meanness, or some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor…

Welcome and entertain them all.

Treat each guest honorably.

Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond”

Jalaluddin Rumi

Which unexpected visitor do you love to welcome?

And why?

Please share your thoughts.

Thank you.
