The Rose of Friendship

“Flowers whisper โ€œBeauty!โ€ to the world, even as they fade, wilt, fall.” Dr. SunWolf

The yellow Rose is symbol of friendship

Share this Rose with your friends, even me if I am one of them, and see how many you will get back

Thank you.

      True what you said.
We all lack time in appreciating the beauty of nature.

They were always mam’s favourites, but seldom a yellow one. A variety called Piccadilly sometimes, a yellow with pink petal surround. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

In Russian tradition, yellow roses symbolize sadness, mostly saying farewell forever. However, as Shakespeare noted in Romeo and Juliet, “a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”
    Beautiful photo, dear Philo!

There is a language of flowers devised in the Middle Ages when young ladies were not allowed to meet with young men face to face. They would place a vase with certain flowers on the window to give a message or pin flowers to their dress when going for a walk. Young men will do the same. I don’t know this language, but I think it’s different from one culture to another. There is also a subliminal emotional effect of different colors, first noticed by Picasso, then studied and described by psychologists.
        My pleasure, dear Philo!
