How many happy moments did you have in your life so far?
People say there are not many and can easily count the number!
So many tensions, anxieties, worries, troubles, misunderstanding, unfulfilling desires, jealousy, ego, helplessness, losing loved ones, thoughts about depressing past and uncertain future, infighting all resulting in so much stress.
Oh, God! What we are supposed to do?
“If the Destination Of life is death, why not take the scenic route?” Klavin John Barry Jr
We also come across people, who choose to be unhappy
I may sound funny, but there are people hell-bent on seeking a negative mindset.
When I ask for the reason, they say they are always on caution to prevent catastrophe and are sure to lead a tension free life!
Why can’t we apply Pareto Principle here?
This principle is an aphorism, which asserts that 80% of outcomes(outputs) result from 20% of all causes(inputs) for any given cause.
This is widely used in business and economics, and the great thing about this principle is you can apply this to any field. Why not into our life?
No, let us apply this to ‘Life’
“Life is 80% joy and 20% misery. But we hold on to 20% and make it 200%. In this world, everything cannot be perfect all the time. This life is a beautiful mystery and you are blessed. It is only when you live the mystery of life that joy dawns.” Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
How to be successful in your life?
“If you want to increase your success rate, double your failure rate.” Thomas J. Watson
I made a decision
I have decided to be happy because it’s good for my health and others too.
“When life gives me a hundred reasons to cry, I show them a hundred reasons to smile” A Star
And what else better than keeping a ‘Laughing Buddha’ in front of us!
And believe me, you can notice the difference!

“The statue of the Laughing Buddha act as a good friend. Whenever we are off the track, his smiling face can bring us back to the present moment, to a positive mood.” Sakshi Chetana
Do you know the power of Smile?
“A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.” Phyllis Diller
What happens if one doesn’t laugh?
“I have not seen anyone dying of laughter, but I know millions who are dying because they are not laughing.” Dr. Madan Kataria
Do you know how many times an infant laughs a day?
Infants laugh more than 200 times a day and adults laugh less than 20 times a day.
Whether it’s a myth or real…..most of us have lost interest in smiling or laughing.
Smiles and laughter have become so rare even during social interactions or with friends our smiles have become artificial.
Even with family members,we are not able to smile or laugh wholeheartedly because of the pressing problems taking an upper hand.
I want you to laugh this way
“When you do laugh, open your mouth wide enough for the noise to get out without squealing, throw your head back as though you were going to be shaved, hold on to your false hair with both hands and then laugh till your soul gets thoroughly rested.” Josh Billings
Take home message
“Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy” Anne Frank
Thank you.

“If you want to increase your success rate, double your failure rate.” Thomas J. Watson …. Oh my goodness this is such a good reminder. I have this pathetic and childish thought process that everything good happens instantly. I hate it because of course it never does. This is a good reminder. Thanks. Katie

It’s just so interesting when we start reading books about people who have succeeded. It’s only then that we realise how many failures and attempts they have made prior to their success. I wish I’d been taught this as a child and I hope that now I can pass this onto my own children. An excellent reminder. Thank you, and I say that with sincerity. Katie

ha ha you brought many smiles on my face and I did not care about the number of muscles involved to bring out this smile.
Thanks a ton for being the cause of my smile to day.

True what you said.
It also reminded me the good old Madonna Song- ‘Like a prayer’ where she sings
‘Life is a mystery
Everyone must stand alone’
Thank you Lisa for your thoughts.
