“A rose is a rose is a rose.” Gertrude Stein

Rose & Thorns

Rose & thorn always go together.

Thornless variety of roses are very very very rare. In this world, exceptions are the rule. It’s God’s way.

But 99.99% of roses have thorns.

“If you know how to make people happy with a single look, then you are a rose! If you know how to hurt people with a single touch, then you’re a thorn!”
Mehmet Murat ildan

“You cannot steal a roses beauty, even if you cover it with thorns.” Matshona Dhliwayo

Oh my god, I have played Gertrude Stein, and that “a rose is a rose is a rose” Just brought back so much Year 12 Drama class, lol. It’s a play, and I wish I could remember what it was called. It was a bunch of women in a “looney bin” and we all thought that we were someone famous women. I think all I said through the play was “A rose is a rose is a rose” lol
