Happy international day of Old Persons-October 1

“The older I get, the more I realize I don’t want to be around drama, conflict or stress. I want a cozy home, good food and to be surrounded by happy people” Unknown

Are you sad that you are becoming old? or

Are you happy that you are becoming old?

Or you think you have a mixed feeling?

What is your experience?

“It annoys me when people say, ‘Even if you’re old, you can be young at heart!’ Hiding inside this well-meaning phrase is a deep cultural assumption that old is bad and young is good. What’s wrong with being old at heart, I’d like to know? Wouldn’t you like to be loved by people whose hearts have practiced loving for a long time?”  Susan Moon

Of Late are you  feeling lonely or you start thinking you are alone?

So ageing is count down or count up?  My friend I know you are a strong willed person.

These are yet COVID days.No vaccine still ready.

This year theme is

“Pandemics: Do They Change How We Address Age and Ageing?”

The idea is to recognise older persons contributions to their own health and the too many  helpful roles they play as they gain enormous life experience and how well the society is prepared to help them in coping up the pandemics.

Wishing all the senior citizens a happy day!

Remember…. you…the so called ‘old people’…….“We don’t grow older, we grow riper.” Pablo Picasso

Thank you.
