Laugh all day for no reason

Laughter is the best medicine

“Always laugh when you can, it is cheap medicine.” Lord Byron

LAUGH ALL DAY FOR NO REASON

This is the common advice given by Modern Gurus and Pundits.

Normally we laugh if we find something that is funny.

When we laugh…it becomes a sign of happiness.

Here we must differentiate intentional laugh and unintentional laugh.

If you laugh for no reason and that too all the time of the day……then you may be called MAD!

IT’S NOT A LAUGHING MATTER SOMETIMES!

When you are faced with a sad situation, should you cry or laugh?

Do you think intentional laugh as in ‘Laughter Yoga’ is debatable?

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON ‘LAUGHTER YOGA’ AND HEALTH BENEFITS?

‘Laughter yoga’ is a modern day exercise involving prolonged voluntary laughter.

Check this 60 seconds clip and you can understand better.

QUESTIONS TO YOU

✔Can you be laughing all day irrespective of the happenings around you?

✔Can you laugh without a joke or looking at memes or cartoons?

✔Sitcoms and stand up comedies can help you to laugh to the extent, the program runs. Afterward?

You realize that your stressful life stares at you!

LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE

Of course, we all know that laughter brings down our stress levels and improves the immune system and my point is one can’t force on themselves to laugh.

Laughter has to be spontaneous from the bottom of the heart.

But there are certain diseases which can cause emotional outbursts without any reason.

ARE YOU AWARE OF ‘GELASTIC EPILEPSY’?

Here the cause is unknown.

It’s a kind of seizure, involving a sudden burst of energy, in the form of laughing or crying.

AND WHAT ABOUT PSEUDO BULBAR AFFECT?

In this condition,we know the reason for the emotional outburst.

The people who had a brain injury or other neurological diseases, (Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis) can develop uncontrollable emotional outbursts in the form of laughing or crying.

It’s hard to stop these outbursts which are not connected to the moods, which may even be inappropriate to the event.

MY 5 THOUGHTS ON LAUGHTER

  1. Unintentional humor and laughter are natural, spontaneous and innocent.
  2. Keep smiling. We know that smile is contagious and everybody around you start smiling creating a happy mood.
  3. Try to spend time with joyful people.
  4. Count your blessings and laugh yourself.
  5. Since you ain’t in control everything in your life, try to have a positive attitude.

TAKE HOME MESSAGE

I shall give you two quotes. Please let me know which is more appropriate?

“We don’t laugh because we are happy, we are happy because we laugh”. Unknown

“Laughing is the best medicine unless you are laughing for no reason….then you need medicine”. Unknown

HAHAHAHA all I know is that yoga video I so contagious… watching people laugh is contagious… if it is true laughter it is not only the person that is happy but the people around them become more positive as well… :)… if I were laughing all day, I think I might run out of breathe and pass out… smiling though, one can smile all day!

I heard the sound which came as you started HAHAHAHA!
      Good.
A very sweet sound even during this loud laughter!😃😃

HAHAHAHA…I really enjoyed your statement-‘All day laughing-one might run out of breath and pass out’ …

      you mean unconscious?

So purposeless laughing just for the sake of laughing that too …for the whole day….?

That begs answer for the question of what is the purpose of laughing therapy?

        😀 😀 😀 😀 I made the hahaha sound again! Times three!

Yes! Breathe work and laughing is beautiful until we accidentally become unconscious. 😃

Do they do laughing therapy for the entire day?! LOL. I feel like, laughing is very contagious. If I was laughing in laughing therapy, I would be laughing with others and how they are laughing very ridiculously, just like I am.

I think laughing for the sake of feeling happier is very purposeful, just like laughing therapy! Is it possible to fake laugh without feeling anything?! Like, doesn’t it trigger our brain to think a lil bit like we are smiling!!! I am not sure about this last point! 🙂

Your last point is really difficult to analyze.

None can know what exactly triggers the brain such that our face enacts…’fake smile’.

Neither one can know the purpose of the ‘fake smile’.

May be just fooling the others or letting know others that (falsely) they too are enjoying the scene.

Yes, science says that even a fake smile will “trick” the brain to fire neurons that release happy emotions & reduce stress! Although, taking your insightful point into account, maybe it is a bit more complicated if the fake smile is done to please others rather than hyping oneself up! Doing a fake smile for the purpose of pleasing others is an action that is done out of fear and stress (needing to be approved)! Interesting conversation…

              Haha
Had many smiles for this interesting chat about ‘ smile & ‘laugh’
              Thank you.
I notice still the smile remaining on my face.
After all no body wants the ‘smile’ to disappear.
