“They said time heals – they lied.”

Time healsIt always puzzles me as to how we lead our life  despite knowing that life is full of miseries.

Whether it’s the loss of someone dear, loss of job, breakups, infertility, poverty, being rich….whatever is that causing you lot of stress, emotion or even reactions…..invariably  you come across  somebody telling you that ‘time heals all wounds’

The idea is to help you to cope up with whatever sad/disturbing/restless event happened to you. Nothing wrong in it.

But you & I know that it’s a lie and the person is a liar.

The pain one undergoes, always remains in the subconscious mind.

The only way one can lead the life is by accepting the fact that scar that is formed is going to be there throughout and all that one can do is, just move forward…

✔ “They said that ‘time heals’, but even now I know that it’s a lie. What people mean is that eventually, you will get used to the pain. You’ll forget who you were without it; you’ll forget what you looked like without your scars”. Claudia Gray

✔ “Time never heals…It teaches us to bear the pain”. Purvi

✔ “And no matter what anybody says about grief and about time healing all wounds, the truth is there are certain sorrows that never fade away until the heart stops beating and the last breath is taken”. Imollo

What is the best advice one can give?

The bitter truth is…. ‘acceptance‘, the only way to lead the rest of the life.

  1. I never believed that time heals… it’s an urban legend 😀
For me, it’s more on the fact that we tend to forget as time goes by.. that’s probably why they think they’re healed by time. But if someone reminds you about it, all your forgotten memories will rush back in and you’re as if reliving the pain that you thought already healed…

You’re absolutely right. Closure is the best and it’s only doable if we accept what’s happened, deal with it, wallow on it and eventually, getting over it! ❤ Thanks for the thoughtful post!
