“Be the fountain, not the drain.” Jonathan van Meter

Fountain

What does the above quote tell us?

Simply it means Be a giver and Don’t be selfish, don’t go on demanding more and more and more and more.

God has already given you what you deserved.

It also reminds you of the law of Karma, “As you sow, so shall you reap” telling us….what you give, follows the route of the circle and comes back to you.

What is the law of Karma to do with the fountain ?

The fountain spreads joy, freshness, and peace. The more you give these to the people, the more you get it back.

What does Fountain symbolize?

As I said earlier, Fountain is a symbol of joy and peace. And the water spring is life-giving.

People make wishes in fountains, by tossing the coins.

Just by resting near the fountains, one gains calmness and the souls are rejuvenated.

What about drains?

Come on my friend. Nobody wishes to be a drain. Drains spread stench and truly drains your energy.

Take home message

All that I am stressing is to pay attention to your ‘Attitude’.

To make it more simple, concentrate on giving all your energies to serve rather than either being neutral or greedy.
