Old and New

Have you ever thought of this?

The difficulty lies not in so much developing new ideas as in escaping from old ones  John Maynard Keynes

If you just look at your closet you find the real junk right from your childhood and you always hesitate to donate it, because you think, it has got sentimental value.

What is the solution?

Think of this.

“Old is Gold, but new is Platinum” Amit

Do we need to change from old to new?

I guess the answer is yes. True we must evolve from old to new.

Change is inevitable both in our lives and the way we think and invent things.

Change is a constant in one’s life.

While we bid good bye to old, we welcome the New.

What is the secret of change?

“The secret of changes is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new” Socrates

How the world is evolving specially in the computer field??

Let us take for example Disc Storage Evolution

Storage system is likely bane of existence for those born prior to the year 2000.
People of present generation will be banging their heads as to how the population survived those Stone Age days of magnetic tapes!!

What an evolution of Portable storage system from meagre 1.44 MB floppy disc to 2 TB flash drives!!

  1. I might be one of the few people for whom discarding old things that are no longer useful comes easier. I just ask myself one thing, “ Does it still serve it’s purpose? Did I use anytime in the past few weeks?” If no, it’ll end up in the bin.

  2. My first PC had a single 8 gb drive, now I have 2x 8 Tb mirrored drives just for storage with another backup off-line. I still don’t trust “the cloud” with all my stuff.
