Zero Discrimination day

At the end of the game, the king and the pawn go back in the same box      Italian Proverb.

Remember the above quote forever.

‘Zero Discrimination day’ is celebrated internationally on 1 st March, every year by UN & other international organisations.

Zero Discrimination Day 2020 Theme is “Zero Discrimination against Women and Girls”

The symbol of Zero Discrimination day is a Butterfly, which is widely recognized as a sign of transformation.

We are all different. There is no such thing as a standard or run-of-the mill human being, but we share the same human spirit.   Stephen Hawking

The Zero Discrimination Day is a UNAIDS campaign of solidarity that stands up to racism, discrimination at work, discrimination at school, and other activities that reduce people’s ability to participate fully and meaningfully in society.

Around the world, this movement has garnered the support of many celebrities and prominent figures who want a world free of stigma and discrimination.  Source-Vercalandario.inf

Is Culture responsible for the discrimination?

Looks like it has to take some share.

Sexual, racial, gender violence and other forms of discrimination and violence in a culture can’t be eliminated  without changing culture  Charlotte Bunch

Zero discrimination day also aims to bring awareness of AIDS & HIV positive people, who are discriminated at every stage including medical help.

“Only people who have been discriminated against can really know how much it hurts. Each person feels the pain in his own way, each has his own scars. So I think I’m as concerned about fairness and justice as anybody. But what disgusts me even more are people who have no imagination. The kind T. S. Elliot calls ‘hollow men’. People who fill up that lack of imagination with heartless bits of straw, not even aware of what they’re doing. Callous people who throw a lot of empty words at you, trying to force you to do what you don’t want to”.       Haruki Murakami

Wishing a   ‘Happy Zero Discrimination Day’  to all my WP friends.

Thank you.
