Can you answer ?( Question series no-40 )

Re blog

Does re blogging somebody else’s blog article make you lose your individuality ?

Or you think you are encouraging and helping the good work of other bloggers by spreading the message ?

Which you prefer ?

Thank you.

Only insecure people would feel threatened by spreading other people’s messages on their blogs .confident ones reblog and spread cheer and positivity around..

Like most everything in life, there’s a balance. I think it’s great to share (Re-blog) something you find meaningful, insightful, etc… At least so long as proper credit is given. On the other hand, if 80% or more of your blog is nothing but re-blogs of popular posts in the hope of getting stats…

Agree Silk Cords.Nothing like sharing the knowledge and new things. And as you said if the blog contains nothing but reblogged stuff…..it makes no sense of creativity.Thank you

As someone who has been fortunate enough to have been re-blogged on several occasions, I feel very flattered, but on the other side of the coin i like to keep my own site exclusive to my own work!

I agree with what has been said so far. Re-blogging has its place like anything else in the blogging world. Re-blogging really exceptional pieces is a great way to get that information out to even a wider audience. As well, it gives further credit to the person who took the time to write and compile the post in the first place.

But, I’ve come across blogs that for the most part are simply re-blogs of someone else’s material. I usually pass by those ones.

Ultimately, there needs to be a balance between your own stuff and re-blogging other posts. What the balance should be, I ‘m not sure.

Firstly, I am always pleased to have any of my own posts reblogged. Why not, by posting online I’ve already “let go” of the post content. Secondly, I frequently reblog other bloggers posts, because I see it as adding something for my own readers which fits in with what they like to read from myself.
