May 31 st World ‘No-Tobacco Day’

Smoking

“Smoking helps you lose weight … one lung at a time!”

Every year, on May 31, WHO and partners around the world celebrate World No-Tobacco  Day, dedicated to highlight the health risks associated with the consumption of tobacco and promote effective policies to reduce consumption.

The tobacco epidemic is one of the biggest public health threats the world has ever faced, killing more than 7 million people a year. More than 6 million of those deaths are the result of direct tobacco use while around 890 000 are the result of non-smokers being exposed to second-hand smoke.

Smoking

Thousands stop smoking every year-   by dying

As you notice, all the three person are enjoying smoking, and on the left side one can see the notice stuck ( local language ), ironically telling that the area is prohibited from smoking and offenders will be punished !!

Time for some humor

“I know that every cigarette I smoke takes five minutes off my life, but it takes ten minutes to smoke it… that’s a five-minute net gain!”    Ed Byrne

“Giving up smoking is the easiest thing in the world.I know because I’ve done it thousands of times”      Mark Twain

“Whenever I think of quit smoking…..I need a cigarette to
think …..!!!”   quote-flickr,com

Ego=bubble

Ego bubble

Your ego may be just a soap bubble.May be for a few seconds it will remain, rising higher in the air.

Perhaps for a few seconds it may have a rainbow, but is only for a few seconds. In this infinite & eternal existence your egos go on bursting every moment.

It is better not to have any attachment with soap bubbles

Anger is one letter short of Danger

Anger

You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger                                                                                  Buddha

Anger is defined as “a string feeling of annoyance, displeasure or hostility.”

Holding on to Anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. Buddha

I am not  here giving  the various reasons as to why one becomes angry or the types of anger.

All that I wish is to follow the following quote whenever  you become angry.

“Anger is like a ball of fire,

but if you swallow it,

It’s sweeter than Honey.”

Mistakes

Mistake

Everyone makes mistakes in life, but that doesn’t mean they have to pay for them the rest of their life. Sometimes good people make bad choices. It doesn’t mean they’re bad…it means they’re human!

No one notices your tears.

No one notices your sadness.

No one notices your pain.

But they all notice your mistakes.

Can you answer this ? ( Questions series No-12 )

Can you read a woman in your lifes span ?

You can not be ‘ well read ‘ without reading women                                                       Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett

Tired

tired ?

There are two types of “tired”,I suppose. One is a dire need of Sleep, the other is dire need of Peace

One is ‘physical tiredness’ & and the other is ‘mental tiredness’.

If it is ‘Physical tiredness’ …easy to recover.Just take good rest.

But if the tiredness is because of Mental stress, how are you going to recover ?

Can you give mental peace a chance ? Is it possible ?

It’s easier said than done.

But time is the greatest healer. That is what they say.

Are we not  just finding an escape route just by uttering this ??

There is one phrase which is amazing in sense, one can use it in ‘bad times’ and it makes one happy and the same phrase if used in ‘good times’ it makes one sad.

“This time (moment/situation) will also go away”

Peep or Peek ??

Peeping

It’s fun to peek into other people’s world & see how they go about doing things.                         ‘Norah Jones’

In the above photo not just one,but two people are seemed to be curious.

Kids being curious I can understand.Children learn things only by being curious.

And adults peeping ?

May be it is a kind of Thrill & human trait to be ‘curious’ about what others are up to !! And  can one can take it as a norm ?

But do you enjoy doing this ?

The habit of peeping into somebody’s affair….can one express as ‘disgusting’ or just ignore it ?

Probably it brings, gossips with toppings and some excitement resulting in rumors !

Are we not obsessed with the lives of others ?

It is said this habit is more prevalent in women.

Or you think it’s because idle brain, which is the culprit. And one derives demonic pleasure.

Nothing wrong being inquisitive ,after all we descended from monkeys

Being inquisitive is OK if it relates to our well-being,but unfortunately we tend to be inquisitive for wrong reasons.

And we become extremely happy for checking others problems, rather than taking care of our own problems!

“Most of our problems will be solved ,if we focus on what is happening in our life rather than peeping into other’s life”   Misbah Abu Obeida Khan

And coming to the English Language…which word is correct to use ? Peek or Peep ?

Love is not complicated, people are

These days…relationship means…                                                                                                 Any where without you is better than any where with you

How individual lives are changing ,relationships are thrown into the dust bin, people forgetting the meaning and value & sacredness of ‘LOVE’,

Thanks to addiction to social media & smart phones !

Relationships are harder now!

“Conversations became texting,

Arguments became phone calls,

Feelings became subliminal messages,

Sex became easy,

The word ‘love’ is used out of context.,

Insecurities became a way of thinking,

Getting jealous became a habit,

Trust is hard to come by,

Being hurt became natural.

Leaving became the only option,

Sad but true,

So if you have something…that is worth it,..don’t take it for granted,

Fight for it,don’t let it go”       pinterest

Summary

Be selfish, thanks to the inventions. indulge in your likings,Drink till you drop dead, fight without any reason,Ego is your life, jealousy is your partner, Greedy is your nature,Killing innocents is your taste, care not anybody, you owe the happiness you deserve, forget about dieting & exercises which are all money-making machines,,cheating is your mantra, money is everything and enjoy dying your own death, you owe nothing to anybody!

Is this the lesson modern-day life style teaching us ? Is this the meaning of advancement in human life ? Is this what all about relationships ?

And what about ethics, values, respect, responsibilities ,family relationship ?

Please share your thoughts.

Thank you.

A hair-raising tale

This is 3.6 minute read and it’s about Health.

No no no….I am not telling that kind of hair-raising tale.

My tale is really related to true hair.

The patient should be made to understand that he or she must take charge of his/her own life.Don’t take your body to the doctor as if he were the repair shop.  ‘Quntin Regestein’

All of us know that the persons well-being and health depends on our personal hygiene.

But then most of us are not aware of many aspects of personal hygiene,Most of us are not even aware of the dirtiest parts of the human body. Here I am giving the areas of human body which requires good hygiene

Starting from head to toe

1.Scalp.2.Eyelashes.3.Ears.4..Mouth5.Tongue.6.Nasal cavity .7.Armpits 8.Belly button.9.Anus. 10.Groinfolds & creases.12.Hands.13.Underneath part of foreskin of penis.14.Vagina15.feet.16.Breast folds.

Though some  of us are aware the importance of hygiene of all these areas, there is another part of the body, which is totally forgotten.

This is back of the body along with the Butt crack ( Ass crack ),medically known as Inter gluteal Cleft or Natal Cleft.

Butt crack is nothing but the groove between buttocks.

Why Hygiene of Butt crack important ?

This area is prone to a condition medically known as Pilonidal Sinus,a small hole or tunnel in the skin.

Source-Ranapiles Hospital.com

But crack being a pit, naturally source of collection of dirt, and it is in the form of hairs, favouring the germs multiplication.

How hair  can accumulate ?

Hairs start  accumulates mainly in the form of shred hairs. These hairs broken off by the friction against clothing. On sitting the buttocks takes the weight of the body and improper posture & sedentary life style results in shredding of the hairs. The accumulated hair invade the skin and cause a small lump initially.

What are the predisposing causes ?

With increase amount of time people spend in sitting, bad designs of chairs, obesity, drivers sitting for long hours and driving the vehicle,,hairy bodies etc predisposes to this condition.

Earlier this condition was more common among jeep riders, was nick named           ‘Jeep Bottom ‘

From where do the shredded hairs come from ?

1.The back of the body ( hairy body ),2. buttocks. 3.Use of toilet paper contributing to the hair entangled in fecal matter being swept into the cleft,by to & fro movements.

Ok.What happens now ?

Ingrowth of Of shredded hairs into the skin causing a small lump initially, which starts discharging foul-smelling fluid along with severe pain and one may find difficult to even sit..Of course I am not going further into the details.

How to prevent ?

1.Wash the area(pit)with soap & water daily.2.Reduce the pressure and be gently while washing this area, this is to prevent further shredding of hair.3.If you have a sedentary life style, try to walk in between.4.If you are obese nothing like reducing the weight.5. wear loose cloths.6.Use the properly designed chairs.and & 7.Most importantly remove the unwanted hair.
