“To believe with certainty we must begin with doubting.” ~Stanislaus I of Poland

Doubtful,doubting,creepy

What is that Stanislaus trying to convey ?

He says, to be certain you have to be doubtful !

First of all if you decided  to believe in something ,why should  you be doubtful or apprehensive ? Are you not sure of yourself ?

Is this a contradictory statement or it is a perfect statement ?

Readers please enlighten me further with your thoughts.

It must be true to whom ever believes it. One cannot simply and blindly believe anything. We all have our own criteria that everything must pass if we are to believe anything.

it might mean that in the process of clearing our doubts, we become certain of it.

I think if we start believing at first place doubts atleast gives a knock but if we place doubt at first place we explore every sphere of that thought…
