My sincere thanks to Rev. Paul for nominating me for a ‘3 day Lyric Challenge’
Please do check his wonderful blog at Parallax , the title of his blog, which is self explanatory, telling the readers that all of us have different views and opinions, just like Parallax and how we all can be compassionate and understanding and respect others view point. His other interests include social justice, inter-faith dialogue, environmentalism, and community development.
My choice for Day 2 lyrical Challenge is Kansas song ‘Dust in the wind’ Kansas is an American rock band that became popular in the 1970s
The title of the song is a Bible reference, paraphrasing Ecclesiastes:
I reflected on everything that is accomplished by man on earth, and I concluded:
Everything he has accomplished is futile — like chasing the wind! ( wikipedia )
I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment’s gone
All my dreams pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind
All we do crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Oh, ho, ho
It slips away
And all your money won’t another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
The wind

Love that song… oh my, though, it brings tears for my brother is gone… way too soon for me to really understand… life? Is it figments of imaginings that color in the missing pieces?

when is wisdom wiser than us? i think, and actually i mean, we think. we read books and know death exists. but until we face the smell we only grasp the lingering stench.
