Day 1 Lyric Challenge

My sincere thanks to Rev. Paul for nominating me for a ‘3 day Lyric Challenge’

Please do check his wonderful blog at Parallax , the title of his blog, which is self explanatory, telling the readers that all of us have different views and opinions, just like Parallax and how we all can be compassionate and understanding  and respect others view point. His other interests include  social justice, inter-faith dialogue, environmentalism, and community development.Lyric challenge day 1 -John Lenon

John Winston Ono Lennon was an English singer, songwriter, and peace activist who co-founded the Beatles,

My choice for Day 1 Lyrical challenge is his song Imagine

Its lyrics encourage the listener to imagine a world at peace without

the barriers of borders or the divisions of religion and nationality

and to consider the possibility that the whole of humanity would

live unattached to material possessions (Wikipedia)

Lyrics
Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace, you
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world, you
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
